Mask Specification

BACTERIAL FILTRATION EFFICIENCY (BFE):

This test indicates how well a mask filters droplets containing biological agents such as bacteria or viruses. The higher the BFE, the more effective a mask is in preventing bacteria-containing droplets from reaching the wearer. Our masks are locally lab graded (ASTM F2101) with BFE > 95%.

WATER REPELLENCY:

This test indicates how well the outermost layer of a mask repels water. The higher the water repellency on its outermost layer is, the better a mask is at protecting the wearer from droplets emitted by others that might contain bacteria or viruses. We use Dupont Teflon, which is a world-renowned waterproof treatment in the world.

BREATHABILITY:

Breathability is determined by a Differential Pressure test. This test determines how breathable a mask is by measuring how easily air passes through from one side to the other. It does so by calculating the difference in pressure across the surface at a flow rate of 8 liters per minute. The lower the DP of a mask, the more breathable it is. A good rating would be anything below 6.0 mm H2O/cm2 and our mask has an average of 3.56 mm H2O/cm2 which is better than the average good rating.

ANTI-BACTERIAL:

SILVADURTM technology is an innovative antimicrobial treatment that improves on earlier technologies by using charged silver ions as opposed to silver particles. Silver ions evenly distribute over a garment. This means the silver is used more efficiently. Silvadur is one of the WORLD’S BEST antimicrobial treatments.
